Designers & Stylist can offer different services that do not have to be expensive. Some offer quick Consultation that may range from 15 minutes to 2 hours for affordable prices. These consultations are there if you need to get advice about paint, floor layout, furniture, bathroom tile, where and how to add value, etc.
Some offer Virtual Design services that provide inspiration boards, style guides showing where to implement the design items, and give you a complete shopping list of what to get and where to get it!

#2 They only work on big spaces

I love finding materials or items that are both functional and stylish while also saving dollars in your pocket or at least staying on budget. I may offer DIY tips and advice for my hands on creative people or share options that are budget friendly.
#4 I can do it myself. I don’t need help for that
Some homeowners or investors may feel that way and that’s completely fine, but sometimes you get stuck trying to decide what to put into your space. You want something that’s not going to go out of style in two years or that you have to keep spending money to redo. I’m sure there are other things on your plate besides the design, and that’s where a designer can help.
