The texture, the patterns, the colors! Wallpaper is in and I’m loving it, but not just any wallpaper. I’m talking about peel and stick wallpaper.
But let’s be honest, traditional wallpaper can be a real pain to apply and remove. That’s why peel and stick wallpaper is the way to go! I, for one, am loving it and have used it on several projects. Here are some reasons why you should consider using peel and stick wallpaper too:
Easy To Apply
It’s like a giant sticker, and you only need a few tools to apply it. Grab your favorite wallpaper, a wallpaper smoother, a utility knife, and you’re ready to work! I recommend starting with a few inches of the protective paper on the back at a time, while smoothing and working your way down the wall. Using the wallpaper smoother, glide across and down the wallpaper, making sure there are no bubbles or creases. This ensures the wallpaper is secure. After you’ve placed the wallpaper where you want it, cut along your baseboard and remove the excess with your utility knife. It’s really that easy!

Durable
Peel and stick wallpaper is surprisingly durable! I’ve had some wallpaper up for over a year, and it hasn’t come down or started to peel off. Are you asking “Does peel and stick wallpaper work in a bathroom?” Yes! The wallpaper I applied around high moisture areas has yet to be affected. It’s an excellent choice if you’re looking for a long-lasting solution that won’t require constant maintenance.
Easy To Remove
I remember moving into our new home as a teenager and having to remove traditional wallpaper that was in almost every room. We tried all the hacks and tools we could find to remove that wallpaper, but it was still a pain to remove.
Let’s just say I’m not a fan of traditional wallpaper. But with peel and stick that’s not the case at all. Unlike traditional wallpaper, you won’t need to worry about scraping or damaging your walls. Simply grab a corner and peel it off! This makes it a great option if you’re renting or if you like to change up your decor frequently.
Variety
It wallpaper comes in a wide variety of colors, patterns, and textures to choose from. I loved the Textured Grasscloth Wallpaper I used for this bathroom makeover, which you can check out here. It really transformed the space and is great quality. A few of my favorite places to purchase wallpaper are Amazon, Wayfair, and Love vs Design. These companies offer a variety of colors, textures, and style. With Love vs Design you can create custom colors to fit perfectly in your space!
Usage
This wallpaper can be used for more than just walls! You can put it in a frame to look like a piece of artwork, on cabinets, on ceilings, and more. The possibilities are endless, and it’s a great way to add character and style to any room!
If you’re looking for an easy and hassle-free way to add some personality to your space, peel and stick wallpaper is the way to go. With its easy application, durability, and variety of options, it’s no wonder that more and more people are choosing it over traditional wallpaper.
